Received Bachelor degree with an accounting major from St. Joseph's College in Rensselear, Indiana.
Pay specialist in the Finance Corps of the United States Army from 1963 to 1966.
Assistant business manager at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio, from 1966 to 1968.
Staff accountant with Arthur Anderson & Co., CPA's, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from 1970 to 1971.
Staff accountant and then partner in the CPA firm of Holcomb, Knudson & Co., from 1971 to 1984 in Thief River Falls, Bemidji and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Operator and principal in a Bemidji, Minnesota certified public accounting firm from 1984 to the present.
Public accounting experience includes accounting and income tax work for small and medium sized businesses, individual income tax preparation and planning, management advisory services, personal financial planning, estate tax planning and business valuations.
Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Current and past volunteer involvement includes: Finance Council and Stewardship Committee of St. Philips Parish, Bemidji Area United Way, Paul Bunyan Chapter-Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Courage North Open Golf Committee, Bemidji-Blandin Community Partnership Steering Committee, Bemidji High School Football Boosters, Bemidji Lions, Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of the Bemidji Area, North Country Health Services Foundation, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Aid Association Council.
Enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities. Hank and his wife Angela have two grown children, Kerry and Kevin.
